Contact SRD PayDay

SRD PayDay is an independent information website about the SASSA SRD R370 grant. We are not SASSA, the Department of Social Development, or any government body. We have no partnership with them.

You can contact us by email at hello@srdpayday.co.za. Email is our only contact channel. We have no phone number, no WhatsApp number, and no contact form. The homepage status-check form is not a contact form. It sends your details to SASSA's official system to fetch your status, not to us.

This is a static website with no accounts and no logins. Our other tools (status explorer, troubleshooter, date finder, appeal calculator, eligibility checker, means test) run only in your browser and send nothing. The homepage status-check form is the one exception, and it is explained below.

The homepage status-check form

The homepage has a form with two fields: your 13-digit South African ID number and the cellphone number you used for your SRD application. A button checks the status.

If you use it, your ID number and cellphone number are sent over a secure (HTTPS) connection to SASSA's official SRD system only to fetch the status you asked for. The result is shown on your screen and is not kept. We do not store, log, sell or share the ID number or cellphone number, and we do not use them for anything else (no marketing, no profiles). We never ask for a PIN, OTP, password or bank details, and never ask for money.

Please check only your own status, or check with the person's permission. Anyone can check on the official portal instead: https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status.

What we can help with

We are happy to hear about the website itself. You can email us about:

  • Mistakes on our pages, such as a wrong date, a broken link, or a figure that does not match an official SASSA source.
  • Suggestions for new guides or tools about the SRD grant.
  • Questions about what a page means or why we wrote something in a certain way.
  • Problems using one of our tools, such as the homepage status-check form, the status explorer or the appeal calculator.

If you report a mistake, please include the page address and say what you think is wrong. That helps us check it against official sources.

What we cannot do

We cannot help with your own SRD application, status, or payment. We cannot:

  • Check your grant status or payment date for you.
  • Submit, approve, or appeal an application for you.
  • Change your details, phone number, or bank details.
  • Look at, change, or discuss your SASSA record.

You can use our homepage status-check form to ask SASSA's official system for your status. For anything else about your own grant, please go to SASSA.

Official SASSA contact details

SASSA handles all SRD applications. Use these official channels:

  • SRD portal: https://srd.sassa.gov.za
  • Toll-free phone: 0800 60 10 11
  • WhatsApp: 082 046 8553
  • Email: srd@sassa.gov.za
  • Your nearest SASSA office, for help in person.

Use only contact details that you find on the official SASSA website or in a SASSA statement. Do not trust a phone number or link from an unknown message.

Never send us personal details

Never email your ID number, cellphone number, PIN, OTP, password, bank details or money to hello@srdpayday.co.za, or to anyone who says they are from SRD PayDay. We do not need these details to answer a question about a page. The homepage status-check form asks for your ID number and cellphone number only to send them to SASSA's official SRD system to fetch your status. We never ask for a PIN, OTP, password or bank details, and never ask for money. If an email asks for your ID number, cellphone number, PIN, OTP, password, bank details or money, it is not from us. Do not reply. Report it to SASSA.

Replies

We read every message. We cannot promise a reply time. If your question is about your own grant, SASSA is the right place for help.
